User Reviews

Pocket Pond 2 is praised for its relaxing pond ambiance and customization options, plus an ad-free, long-term experience. However, it suffers from frequent complaints about lack of updates, daily-play requirements causing stress, data/ Facebook backup issues, monetization frustrations, and occasional bugs or crashes.
Pros
  • Relaxing, calming ambiance and visuals that many players use for stress relief.
  • Customization and personalization options for ponds and fish/turtles (decorations and choice of creatures).
  • Ad-free experience with a peaceful, clutter-free environment.
  • Long-term engagement and nostalgia; the app is enjoyed and revisited over years.
Cons
  • Lack of ongoing updates or apparent developer inactivity.
  • Fish can die if you don’t log in daily, creating time pressure and stress.
  • Persistent connectivity/backup issues with Facebook integration and data saving.
  • Monetization and coin mechanics can feel rewarding only with purchases or unreliable, leading to frustration.
  • Bugs and performance issues (startup crashes, UI glitches, graphics issues) reported by multiple users.

This is my favorite app I’ve ever had. I have severe anxiety and playing with my ponds helps. Reviews say you have to spend money and that’s not true. If you slowly play everyday, you eventually breed rare fish. Then you can sell them. Keep breeding the same rare fish everyday and you get more money than you know what to do with, which lets you buy anything for your pond that you want. It just takes a few weeks of playing everyday. Speed up the process by paying but it’s not necessary. The friends functionality doesn’t work anymore and that’s sad. They don’t update the app anymore. But there are enough options and it’s so relaxing to watch the fish that it’s worth it.

I was level 20 and had all the exotic fish but if you don’t play every three or four days, your fish will die. I just don’t have the time. I wanted to come back and visit for fun but it just got to be stressful. And koi ponds shouldn’t he stressful. There are no consistent amount days or times for when your fish will become overwhelmed with algae. Sometimes it’s two days sometimes six or seven days and I keep buying more expensive filters or paying for my fish to be revived. I just lost my entire batch of fish over five ponds FOR A SECOND TIME so im done
