Pros
- Highly accurate decoding of MDC1200 and QC-II tones, praised as being more accurate than some alternatives.
- Practical field tool that helps diagnose dispatch problems and is valued by scanner enthusiasts and public-safety users.
- Easy to use and effective when placed near the microphone or scanner; simple setup.
- Low price with strong perceived value; many reviewers call it worth more than $0.99.
- Still functional on older iPhones despite lack of frequent updates, indicating robustness.
Cons
- Significant compatibility issues with newer iOS devices and models (XS/X, iOS 12+) and a perceived lack of updates.
- Microphone permissions/access can cause the app to stop picking up tones and may require manual toggling.

- Stability issues at times, including freezing or unresponsiveness.
- Feature/documentation gaps (logs/notes, aliasing/renaming IDs, manual) requested by users.

| 2026-06-15 | Fo***** | I have had this app installed for ages. For decoding MDC-1200, FleetSync, and QCII (and probably more, but that’s all used around here) it’s worked fantastic. The app used to be a little clunky and dated. The new version looks awesome and is way easier to use. I am working on identifying fire toneouts and the ability to add aliases, and keep a count, is a huge addition. A great app made even better! | |

| 2025-06-26 | Re***** | The app is excellent, it could definitely use an update for portrait layout. I'd love the ability to add a note to the log entries. It would also be swell to have the ability to sort IDs received by type of signaling. Thank you for writing and publishing this. | |
