User Reviews

Users praise the Durango Herald E Edition for convenient, on‑the‑go access to local news across devices, easy navigation, and the ability to read archived issues, with a digital experience that resembles the print edition. However, recurring issues cited by multiple reviewers include app crashes and stability problems, heavy subscription portal friction (frequent sign‑in and renewal access hurdles), difficulties accessing content through the portal after subscribing, and navigation/readability quirks like losing track of place. Overall, it’s a strong local news solution when it works, but stability and access flow need fixes.
Pros
  • Very convenient access to local news on the go, with offline download capabilities.
  • Easy to use with a thoughtful, intuitive navigation on phones and tablets.
  • Ability to go back to prior issues / archives.
  • Strong local coverage and sports reporting; makes the Durango Herald feel relevant.
  • Print-like experience without dealing with physical paper (digital feel similar to the print edition).
Cons
  • Frequent crashes and instability, including crashes on startup.
  • Frequent login requirements / subscription portal friction that blocks access.
  • Access issues after renewal or portal barriers preventing content viewing.
  • Navigation/readability quirks, such as losing track of place within articles.
  • Device rotation can log you out or cause other bugs.

Navigation took me a while to get used to.

As you are pretty much a monopoly my wish would be that you have reporters who believe in telling the truth and both sides to stories shared. Building an amazing community to only see one side of very important issues should be criminal and punishable. I am certain this will go nowhere. Perhaps a new publication reporting truth is on the horizon for Durango😉
