The Zones of Regulation

The Zones of Regulation is a framework for thinking and a curriculum aimed at helping students consciously regulate their emotions and alertness. The app teaches recognition of different zones, uses color-coded cues, and builds a toolbox of calming strategies and problem-solving skills to move between zones.

A standout feature is the Zones Picture Studio, which lets students take pictures with the device camera to reflect on how scenarios would make their body feel, cultivating emotional awareness. The program is classroom-friendly for elementary through adult learners, includes teacher supervision prompts, and aligns with The Zones of Regulation curriculum by Leah Kuypers.
