Features & Capabilities

Good Habits helps you build small, repeatable routines inspired by Jerry Seinfeld's 'don’t break the chain' method. Create multiple habit chains, set per-habit reminders and daily deadlines, and track progress with an at-a-glance view of current and longest chains. Colors, checklists, and overdue indicators help you stay on target and celebrate steady momentum.

Use the calendar view to edit chains, pause and resume without losing progress, and keep a record of how often you succeed each day. Advanced insights (accessible via in-app purchases) include reasons you broke a chain and chain statistics. Practical examples: write 500 words daily, practice piano for 15 minutes, or do 20 push-ups each morning.

User Reviews

Reviews praise Good Habits for its simple, clean interface, ease of use, and motivational streaks with flexible habit categories. However, multiple reviews cite reliability problems: data loss or failed transfers when switching devices, streaks not updating, frequent crashes, and slow performance. These issues outweigh the positives for many users and show a need for better cloud sync and stability.
Pros
  • Simple, clean interface that is easy to use.
  • Motivational streaks and reminders help users stay on track.
  • Flexible habit management with multiple categories and rest-day feature.
  • Lightweight design with a free, ad-free experience for essential use.
  • Long-term appeal with many users sticking with it for years.
Cons
  • Data loss and transfer/sync issues across devices (failed transfers, lost data, limited cloud recovery).
  • Streak updates glitches (previous day marked as missed; streaks not updating).
  • Frequent crashes and app becoming unresponsive (crashes or not opening).
  • Slow performance and lag (very slow to load, navigation issues).

This is honestly my favorite habit tracking app. I've been using it for years, and it's the only one that I've stuck with, because of its awesome interface and clean simplicity.

So it is good when i use it and remember to, but it’s complicated and I’m only like 12 but still some parts it don’t make much sense like carried over from yesterday like whats up with that anyway it’s good when it’s the only option. SO 4 STARS!

Overall a great app but there are some recent glitches that show the previous day as missed when it hasn’t been and doesn’t update the streak (recent problem)
