User Reviews

AirDisk is praised for easy setup, handling large bulk transfers, and cross‑platform use on Windows and Mac at a reasonable price. However, many reviews flag reliability problems, Wi‑Fi transfer bugs (no URL shown), and crashes. The app also imposes paywalls for transfers and shows compatibility/security concerns (notably on Windows 11 and with insecure files). Overall, a strong concept with inconsistent execution.
Pros
  • Easy to use and set up.
  • Handles large bulk transfers (thousands of files).
  • Cross‑platform support (Windows and Mac) as an AirDrop alternative.
  • Reasonable one‑time price / value for the features.
Cons
  • Reliability issues: often doesn’t work or crashes.
  • Wi‑Fi transfer bugs: URL sometimes not shown and transfers fail.
  • Paywall: no free transfers and costs for transferring large batches.
  • Compatibility/stability problems: issues on Windows 11 and app sometimes stops opening.
  • Security concerns: transferred files reported as insecure or unusable.

Easiest solution I’ve found to transfer videos to windows. Highly recommend.

Been using it to try and offload some of my 29k photo/videos for storage and this app has been the only thing that has worked for me.. it misses a few items every so often but I can’t ask for any better with how many items I’m trying to move at once (about 1-3k) this app is definitely worth the $2.99 one time purchase!

I downloaded the app, bought the pro version, subscribed to the transfer service, and it still didn’t work. It told me it couldn’t transfer a file type of a file I don’t have. The WiFi transfer never showed me an actual URL. Don’t waste your time, iCloud is cheaper and more efficient simply because it works.
