Air Transfer makes wireless file transfer between iPhone/iPad and a desktop PC or Mac effortless over a local WiFi network. Use drag-and-drop in your browser to send text, bookmarks, photos, music, videos and documents to your computer, or pull content from desktop to your device. Transfers run in the background and items are automatically categorized into seven types for quick access.

Features include a built-in media player with background playback, support for common formats (MP3, WAV, MOV, MP4, PDFs, Office files, HTML), and a built-in document viewer. It supports cross‑browser usage (Safari, Firefox, Chrome, IE) and can back up Camera Roll to your desktop. To use, connect both devices to the same LAN, load the device URL in your desktop browser, and start dragging.

I hadn’t used this app for months because of the crash issue. I tried it today and was lucky to complete a transfer. I wanted to confirm the transfer from the PC to iPhone 17 and once confirmed, I’d go back to the app to delete the file. Well when I try to open it, the app immediately crashes 🤬 . I removed the app from memory and restarted the phone then tried again. IT KEEPS CRASHING!!!!

This app was amazing... it allowed you to effortlessly share videos from your phone to computer, or anything, in seconds. My only gripe with it was that you had to keep the phone on, but it's truly nothing for the value it gave you. I've been using past tense because, I dont know whether it was because I switched phones, but the app just doesn't work anymore. It would open the app but when you press the (+) button to add more things, it would crash. After a couple retries, the app completely ceases to open. Unfortunate. I had a review for the app prewritten because I didn't send it in, so I'll keep the title I put. 😭
