CAR Magazine – News & Reviews’ iPad app delivers top-tier content and a superb, ad-free reading experience with rich visuals and multimedia. The digital edition is timely in the US and highly usable when it works. However, recurring problems with subscriptions, download stability, and insufficient support substantially affect reliability. When functioning, it ranks among the best car magazines in digital form.

Pros

High-quality writing and photography across the digital edition.
Easy-to-use, visually rich reading experience with intuitive navigation, landscape/portrait viewing, and high-res images.
No ads in the app and strong multimedia capabilities (embedded videos, HD graphics).
Digital edition is available day-and-date in the US, offering convenient, print-free access.

Cons

Subscription and authentication processes are buggy or overly complicated, with sign-up and access issues.
Downloading issues can be unreliable: downloads fail, issues uninstall and require lengthy re-downloads, and updates can crash the app.
Customer support is difficult to reach or unhelpful (dead emails/limited troubleshooting).

Recent reviews

No matter how good the content, if you cant access it, it’s worthless. When enquiring to Car, I am told to complain to Apple. There is no facility to do so. Not helpful.

Simply the best automobile magazine on the planet. Great writers and the lead on the most exciting cars and trends. Although I live in the US I feel like I’m included. Georg Kacher is my favorite writer. Makes me feel like I’m in the passenger seat. Keep it going.
