User Reviews

Overall, reviewers like the app’s simplicity and its usefulness for learning notes, especially for teachers and students who benefit from a portable flash-card approach. The pronunciation feature and clean interface are repeatedly cited as strengths. However, users frequently complain about loud, unmuteable card sounds that disrupt listening to music, and the lack of test mode or full notation content (note names, intervals, clefs). Additional concerns include limited deck customization, an aging UI with few updates, and requests for hands-free navigation and auto-flipping.
Pros
  • Easy-to-use, simple interface.
  • Effective for learning notes and improving sight-reading/memorization.
  • Pronunciation feature helps with music notation terms.
  • Clean, minimal design that feels fast and focused.
  • Portable flash-card format that’s handy for teaching and practice on the go.
Cons
  • Loud, disruptive sound effects with no option to mute, and they interrupt music playback.
  • No test mode and the deck/content is incomplete (missing note names, intervals, clefs).
  • Limited deck customization and range selection for learners.
  • Aging UI with little recent updates and potential iOS compatibility concerns.
  • No hands-free navigation (no auto-flip or pedal support) and frequent requests for auto-flipping.

The only thing missing is the ability to use a foot pedal to go between cards. I like to use this app to practice going to the note on my cello, so being able to scroll between cards hands-free would be pretty cool. Other than that, I like the clean and simple design.

The sound effects almost ruin this product. There is no way to turn off the loud and unpleasant sound of the cards being shuffled.

It’s really good functionality is there it’s not overflowing with features but it’s a well made app I recommend it.
