User Reviews

Overall, ClareHome for iOS is plagued by reliability and usability problems. Frequent reconnects and devices appearing offline disrupt use, and updates often make the UI less intuitive. Support is hard to reach, with dependence on installers. Compatibility issues with Google/Nest and dropped iPad support worsen the experience. A minority note that the all-in-one concept, clear alerts like water leaks, and occasional functioning performance are positives.
Pros
  • All-in-one home control app for lights, thermostat, locks, and security.
  • When it works, the interface is easy to use with clear visuals and straightforward navigation.
  • Timely alerts (e.g., water-leak notifications) that can help prevent damage.
  • Updates can fix certain issues and improve performance according to some users.
Cons
  • Frequent connectivity issues: devices show offline, constant reconnects, latency, and slow video loading.
  • Poor or hard-to-reach customer support; heavy reliance on installers with little direct Clare Home assistance.
  • UI/UX degraded by updates: more clicks, removal of tile-based layout, categories, and disappearance of favorites.
  • Compatibility/integration problems: problematic Google/Nest integration and dropped iPad support; difficulty adding certain devices.
  • Stability and security concerns: app crashes after iOS upgrades, login issues, and duplicate notifications.

Clare is a poor product as is the app experience . Cameras don’t connect on the displays app rarely renders them , buggy and there is a ton of latency making the whole system unusable

Constantly unlinks from Google home. Devices would show up as offline despite working perfectly fine. Absolute nightmare to find support from installer and from app developers. On top of everything else, very dated interface. Would love to avoid ever using them again.

I am trying to add google nest doorbell however, after linking in chrome, when I switch back to app I can see at the bottom some scroll but the text does not is not the main screen not allowing to add it. I tried on my wifes phone, ipad but still does not work. What is this non-sense. Please
