User Reviews

Reviewers consistently praise YouTube for its vast video library and usefulness for education and entertainment. However, several recurring complaints focus on intrusive advertising, changes to recommendations that push Shorts and other content ahead of user-specified interests, and frequent stability issues like crashes after updates. A minority express moderation/content concerns and desire for more UI customization, but the dominant themes center on ads, recommendation shifts, and reliability.

Pros

Extensive and varied video library spanning entertainment, education, and tutorials.
Users express strong love for the app and its content.
Great resource for learning and finding solutions to real-world problems.
Wide range of content including funny videos and creators.

Cons

Ads are excessive and increasingly intrusive, including frequent mid-video ads and ads on the subscriptions page.
Recommendation algorithm shifts push Shorts and other content to the top, cluttering or misaligning with user interests.
App stability issues, including crashes after updates and when trying to play videos.

I love YouTube & have collected my videos on it for the past 15 years. I am an obsessive video & picture taker of everything interesting in life that I do. My only complaint is the copywriting violations when I add my favorite songs to my videos. I don’t want to make money from the music. I am only adding to enhance the enjoyment entertainment of looking at videos & pictures.
