User reviews for Guardian on iOS are overwhelmingly negative. The app frequently fails to load, displays blank screens, or loops on login, with heavy MFA requirements. When it works, claims and benefits data often don’t load or appear inconsistently across systems, and some benefits are misrepresented. UX issues include painful birthdate input and confusing portal URLs. The only clear positive is easy registration; otherwise the app struggles across devices and the employer/portal integrations.

The app frequently fails to load, shows blank screens, or is otherwise unusable.
Login loops and heavy multi-factor authentication make signing in a chore.
Claims and benefits data won’t load or are shown inconsistently across systems, sometimes misrepresenting coverage.
Cumbersome birthdate input requires long scrolling, making it hard to enter date of birth.
Confusing URLs and portal misalignment between the app, Guardian site, and employer portal.

Guardian is wonderful

Every time I login, there is an issue with the password. My password authenticator will give me a new password to use and then when I go to sign back in, it doesn’t switch over to my password authenticator to automatically submit it. So I must copy it quick to put it on the sign in. Please make it easier to sign in so we don’t have to make a new password every time. It would be nice if our password memory bank can be used on sign in. Thank you.
