Features & Capabilities

Qmanager lets you monitor and manage your QNAP Turbo NAS from your browser. It shows CPU and memory usage, system events, online users, and other vital stats, so you can stay on top of NAS health.

It also lets you manage downloads and backups remotely (pause or run tasks), toggle services, check connection status, and restart or shut down the NAS. The Find My NAS feature helps locate a misplaced NAS by sounding a beep. Prerequisites include iOS 16+ and QNAP firmware v4.0+; ensure your network is configured for remote access.

User Reviews

Qmanager offers a solid at-a-glance NAS overview with easy setup, real-time resource monitoring, and push notifications for critical events. It supports a broad mobile dashboard for NAS health, backups, and Docker. However, stability problems, 2FA/login hurts, UI regressions after updates (including dark mode), and feature gaps (Qget removal, limited task launching) significantly hamper the experience, with setup and compatibility headaches recurring across reviews.
Pros
  • Easy setup with a clear graphical overview of NAS metrics (CPU, RAM, disks, uptime, temperature) and intuitive navigation.
  • Real-time mobile resource monitoring with push notifications for status, security alerts, and backup events.
  • Broad feature coverage in the dashboard for managing NAS functions (Docker containers, backup jobs, etc.) providing a full NAS management experience.
Cons
  • Frequent crashes and instability, including crashes on launch, during navigation, or when opening NAS details.
  • 2FA/login problems or lack of 2FA support, with awkward keyboard behavior when entering codes.
  • UI/UX regressions after updates, notably loss or breakage of dark mode and generally slow, clunky performance.
  • Limited functionality and feature gaps (removal of Qget; inability to launch apps or perform certain tasks; multiple logins required).
  • Compatibility and setup headaches (port configuration confusion and mixed support experiences).

System followed dark mode is gone with no discernible way to get it back.

This latest update disabled following system light/dark mode. Please fix this. Otherwise the functionality looks the same.

Clunky, bare-bones functionality. Yes, you can manage your QNAP NAS. No, you won’t enjoy the experience.
