User Reviews

BaM Video Delay is widely praised as an easy-to-use coaching tool that provides near real-time playback across sports, with features like multi-window delays and extended delay times, plus the option to display on a TV for group feedback. Users applaud the HD updates and save options. However, several reviews note reliability issues, historical 2-minute limit before upgrades, a regression removing 480p front-camera recording, and device compatibility limits (iPad vs iPad mini) along with missing features like side-by-side video and locking delay settings. Overall it's transformative when working reliably.
Pros
  • Real-time/near real-time video feedback that helps players see and correct their movements
  • Easy to learn and set up; quick to deploy for coaches across sports
  • Multi-window delays (4 screens) and longer delay times (4-6 minutes) enabling richer feedback
  • Ability to project playback to a TV/connected screen for group coaching and self-review
  • HD video updates and save options (save last 30s/1min/2min) improve analysis quality
Cons
  • Early 2-minute delay limit was a major drawback before upgrades
  • Stability issues in some cases (crashes or app failing to display content)
  • Removal of 480p front-camera recording in a recent update (regression)
  • Device compatibility limitations (iPad but not iPad mini)
  • Missing features like side-by-side video (split-screen) and locking delay settings (requested)

I have been using the video delay product for quite some time. It has worked really well and I use it to help me in my golf swing

Love this app for being a hands-free, neutral observer in the gym during practice. Players perform an action and I tell them to go look at the screen and see the playback. Once they see themselves, I can ask to see if they recognize what they did right or wrong. In most cases where players are disregarding feedback, it’s because they don’t believe they’re doing anything wrong. Once they see the proof, they are more willing to make changes.
