Features & Capabilities

WirelessTag Chrome extension lets you remotely manage Wireless Sensor Tags cloud data: monitor temperature, humidity, and motion, trigger beeps to locate items, and receive push alerts when readings exceed your defined ranges. View cloud graphs from anywhere with internet.

It supports WeMo and various Internet-connected thermostats, plus IFTTT and KumoApp automation scripts via a web interface to trigger devices based on sensor data and location. Note: background GPS use can significantly reduce battery life.

User Reviews

WirelessTag excels at remote, multi-sensor temperature/humidity monitoring with alerts and access to raw data. Users praise its flexibility across locations and its usefulness for critical needs (medicine refrigeration, greenhouse, power outages) and its ability to work with other devices. Common downsides are app instability after updates, a clunky user interface, and limited Apple ecosystem integration. Support is sometimes slow, and battery maintenance is noted. Overall, it delivers strong monitoring capabilities; improvements in stability, UX, and HomeKit integration would raise its usability.
Pros
  • Remote monitoring of temperature and humidity across multiple tags with alerts via text, push, or email.
  • Access to raw data and historical trends for analysis.
  • Versatile and configurable sensors for many applications (temp, humidity, motion, light).
  • Peace of mind in critical use scenarios (refrigeration of medicine, greenhouse, power outages) due to reliable alerts.
  • Interoperability with other smart devices (e.g., WEMO, Nest) and multi-location management.
Cons
  • App instability and bugs after updates (freezes on trends screen; may require reinstall).
  • Clunky, not very intuitive UI; limited/customization options.
  • Poor or unresponsive customer support; difficulties getting help.
  • Battery life concerns; battery drain or maintenance burden.
  • Limited HomeKit integration and desire for better Apple ecosystem compatibility.

Used to work, doesn’t anymore. Sadly developer tends to ignore Mac/iOS capabilities so the experience is a very clunky. However I do appreciate the ability to track the data and access to the raw data, something HomeKit fails to do miserably. I’ve been a user for more than 10 years.

We run a mid sized greenhouse operation. Since we started using these tags it’s changed my life. In the winter the ability to monitor the temperatures in all the houses without having to physically walk them has made winter more bearable.

I installed a wireless sensor tag on my wood boiler and it works great especially when we go ice fishing for a long weekend. All I have to do is open up the app and see the temperature chart and that lets me know if I need to have someone put wood in.
