NOAA SuperRes Radar US is a Chrome extension built for weather enthusiasts. It delivers ultra-high-resolution radar mosaics for the continental United States, four times the resolution of typical radar products, letting you see storm features invisible in ordinary radar apps. It combines SuperRes Level 2 radar with a 3 km hourly forecast radar and NOAA model forecasts.

Features include 3–6 day precipitation forecasts, temperature overlays, snow/mixed precipitation display, cloud cover and satellite imagery, advanced radar layers, play/pause animations, multiple map styles, time display, GPS locator, overlay transparency, clutter filtering, auto refresh, and quick search by ZIP or city. Coverage is continental US only.

This was my GoTo app for years. The 30 minute vectors that showed which way a storm was going in the next 30 minutes made it the number one app. No more watching loops over and over while trying to keep one eye on the time stamps just to see how long I had. It hasn’t shown for a while now even tho I have the Storm Track setting enabled. Please fix and restore this app to its deserved position in my tool box.

No longer receiving echo top data from NWS servers. They need to push an update with the proper connections to the new servers. This reminds me why I stopped paying for apps years ago. I guess this is why it’s free now!
