It notifies CPR-needed incidents and other events like fires, floods, and utility emergencies, while you can monitor live dispatch traffic with a simple tap on the speaker icon.

PulsePoint currently covers thousands of communities in North America and is FirstNet Certified for high availability. It is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation that builds tools to inform and engage citizens in emergencies. Note: Continued GPS use can reduce battery life; settings are available in your device.

The app is a very useful tool, but, there are a lot of times when there are traffic collisions or other significant roadway events that don’t get listed. It seems like some events get missed or don’t make it into the update when they occur.
