User Reviews

Where is that? is praised as a fun, engaging way to learn geography with broad coverage of countries, capitals, airports, continents, landmarks, and optional multiplayer. It can quickly improve knowledge and is usable in short sessions. However, several reviews point to recurring paywalls and high subscription costs, reductions of free content, performance issues such as crashes and lag, and concerns about political labeling. Overall, it’s a strong learning tool when it’s freely accessible and stable, but price and reliability concerns affect long‑term appeal.
Pros
  • Engaging and addictive gameplay that makes geography learning fun.
  • Highly effective at teaching geography quickly (users improve in days to weeks).
  • Very comprehensive content coverage (countries, capitals, airports, regions, landmarks) and features like continent isolation and Wikipedia links.
  • Free tier offers initial quizzes and content; upgrade is affordable for full access.
  • Multiplayer mode is a standout feature that users enjoy.
Cons
  • Paywalls and expensive subscriptions lock many features after a brief free period.
  • Frequent crashes/lag and bugs disrupt gameplay on multiple devices.
  • Perceived political bias in country labeling (Palestine vs. Israel) raised by reviewers.
  • Updates/changes that remove free content or heavily restrict free access.

Ok on the new review, i would like a drop down menu so I could review whatever map i want without skipping. Sometimes i might want two review two or three sections in a different order.

You can learn quite a lot in a very short period of time with this app. All of the countries on Earth, capitals, airports, counties/provinces/states of major countries, etc. Very impressive and very inexpensive. Basic quizzes are free, but you can unlock all features for $5 a *year*.
