Written and designed by experts, Birds of the Netherlands is a field guide to 275 birds featuring high-quality photos of plumage, recordings of songs and calls, and text specially written by biologist Dr Hilary Lind. You can add your own photos to personalize the guide and to support identification. The app also recognizes over 700 species and subspecies, helping you record sightings quickly and accurately.

With over 12 years of nature-app development behind it, the app includes features to identify birds by your location via Here and Now, a Bird Finder for fast matching, and robust organization tools. It supports searching, sorting, favorites, maps for distribution, and data export (Excel) plus simple email backup to transfer data between devices.
