User Reviews

Reviews praise OneDrive for reliable cross‑device syncing, large storage, and convenient mobile access. Yet multiple reports point to crashes during deletes, freezes, and loading large folders; video playback issues (no full screen/AirPlay); and a cumbersome file-management experience (no Select All, missing file details, duplicate handling). Sign-in friction and intrusive prompts, plus missing features (Lens integration, PDF editor) also surface. Overall it remains useful for storage and syncing, but stability and usability must improve.
Pros
  • Reliable storage and syncing across devices
  • Large storage capacity / massive storage
  • Convenient mobile access to files on the go
  • Cross-platform support (Mac/Windows) and parity expectations
Cons
  • Frequent crashes/freezes during operations (deleting, selecting, loading large folders)
  • Video playback issues: lack of full-screen mode and AirPlay support
  • Cumbersome file-management UX: no Select All, trouble with large folders, missing file details/extensions, poor duplicate handling
  • Sign-in friction and intrusive verification prompts / privacy concerns
  • Missing or incomplete features: Office Lens integration lacking full functionality; PDF editor performance

I am certain that I was hacked for a good while termed about today with hacking attempts at my software on your account. I saved the file for backup one day on another label and decided to keep my account synchronized with this app for about three years until this day. I can’t keep up with what happened on my account but these files remain in a folder that only I could unlock and then were perpetuated on another server until someone could not fail but to find me out for grievous sexual crimes. I am sure that I needed saving. I’m just not going to say which kind.

OneDrive keeps serving me an old version of a file even though the thumbnail and metadata in the preview in the app reflects the current, correct version

Started out pretty good, but I think if there are too many files, it’s simply just shuts down the synchronization process and does not update. Annoying. I’ve tried to break it into the smaller folders, but it still will not synchronize.
