Most reviews say ObitFinder is plagued by intrusive ads and unreliable performance. The app often freezes, won’t open, or becomes unusable after updates. Core search features are limited and hard to customize (no easy country/paper selection, date range locked to 3 days, slow newspaper loading). Reliability is questionable, with outdated or inaccurate results reported. A few users do experience quick successes when the app is functioning, but ads and poor usability broadly mar the experience.

If you’re looking for an older obituary they say “Sorry our records can’t find…………”. And then they refer you to Legacy site. Just a way for you to sign up and pay $$$$$

Too many pop-ups! Couldn’t even look at one obit with being bombarded! Shame because I enjoyed this app for almost a year before it became unusable. If they ever clean up this problem, I would be very happy to use it again.
