User Reviews

BlueDriver is praised for ease of use, value, and basic diagnostics with live data and reports. Recurrent downsides are app instability, Bluetooth connectivity problems, limited depth of diagnostics, and data-management bugs. Overall it’s a solid budget option for quick checks, but reliability and advanced features are common concerns.
Pros
  • Easy to use with a simple app/interface
  • Great value for money; budget-friendly and tends to pay for itself
  • Reads codes reliably and offers live data; lets you save reports for your mechanic
  • Handy and portable; easy to carry and use on the go
  • Useful with links to parts / part purchases to aid repairs
Cons
  • App instability: frequent crashes and freezes requiring force closes/restarts
  • Bluetooth connectivity problems: frequent reconnects, slow connections, or failure to connect
  • Limited diagnostic depth: slow reads beyond basic codes; few PIDs; missing ABS/SRS support
  • Data management issues: tedious deletion of saved reports; bugs when deleting items
  • Inconsistent or unhelpful support reported by some users

This scanner works great. I especially like the community section where it tells you what the past fixes have been for that code for your specific car. Between this scanner and its community driven solutions, some help from AI, and YouTube, there is pretty much nothing you can’t fix yourself assuming you’ve got the tools. This will pay for itself the first time you have to use it and fix your own car.

I really like the overall functionality of this. I’m using mainly to monitor DPF regen on a GMC Sierra because for some reason GM thinks that’s information you don’t need to see!?! The app could use some polishing. Resizing of gauges is a bit confusing - to make gauges smaller I had to toggle back to graph, resize, then set to gauge again. What I REALLY would love is a CarPlay version!!!

Very nice tool. Easy to use and good tech support. This tool has saved me a few bucks over the years, enabling me to diagnose my vehicles myself. I Highly recommend.
