Features & Capabilities

50% off for a limited time. Sunrizer Synth is a virtual analog iOS synthesizer with true SuperSaw and a design that blends inspiration with intuition. Built to perform with any MIDI keyboard or sequencer, it features dual per-voice filters, multiple filter types, and full CoreMIDI, MIDI mapping, Virtual MIDI Ports, and background audio. The Morph Group lets you continuously morph up to 30 parameters using only the modulation wheel, delivering expressive, evolving sounds.

Oscillators, filters, and modulation combine to form a powerful sonic toolbox: two analog-modelled oscillators (with sub-oscillators in some modes), multiple waveforms (Saw, PWM, Triangle, SuperSaw, FM), and two independent filters per voice with flexible routing. Two LFOs, Morph Group up to 30 parameters, and two ADSR envelopes enable deep sound design. Built-in effects, an expressive arpeggiator, 380+ presets (with extra banks available online), chord memory and phrase sequencing expand creativity. AUv3, MIDI, IAA, AudioBus 2.0, and Mac/PC compatibility are supported via BeepStreet.

User Reviews

Sunrizer delivers top‑tier, warm, versatile sounds with a user‑friendly interface and strong MIDI integration. It’s well‑supported and affordably priced, with a rich preset library and cross‑platform use. The main caveats are occasional DAW compatibility and stability issues, UI quirks after OS updates, and tuning quirks on certain iOS versions. For those prioritizing sound quality and longevity, it remains a standout, with caveats about workflow reliability in some hosts.
Pros
  • Excellent, warm, high‑quality sound that many reviewers call one of the best sounding iOS synths
  • Intuitive interface with easy patch programming and strong MIDI keyboard/controller support
  • Long history with ongoing updates and a developer that keeps the app affordable (no subscriptions)
  • Rich preset library including ambient sounds, plus the appreciated Randomizer feature for starting points
  • Mac compatibility and cross‑platform use (Sunrizer also runs on Mac)
Cons
  • DAW integration issues in some hosts (AUv3 not reliable in some apps; IAA workflows needed, with Cubasis/GarageBand noted)
  • Stability problems in practice (occasional crackling, crashes during patch edits, and settings/preset persistence quirks)
  • UI/OS update related quirks (scaling/resize controls, top‑bar interactions, and some keyboard size issues)
  • Custom tuning/just‑intonation quirks on certain iOS versions (non‑standard tunings/transposition can be problematic)

This is one of the very best purchases i have ever made on the appstore. The sound quality and usability is nothing short of amazing.BEST SYNTH OUT THERE

Has plenty of great sounds, works well with midi keyboard. It has only connected to my DAW successfully once. I have many plugins that connect to my DAW without a problem so I know it’s not the DAW.

Final Update: The company is great, they fixed the issue with Cubasis after the review so it works seamlessly. It sounds great and they get the 5 star review from me. It has a very clean sound to it so you can make some high quality music with this, worth the purchase Previous UPDATE: Works with inter-app audio on cubasis and that's how you'll have to use it. It doesn't work as an AUv3 plugin, read the previous review Original: It's 2025. It crackles with almost every sound I use. At about a week of this, I Google just to find out this is a problem exclusively with cubasis that has been discussed since at least 2021.
