Features & Capabilities

SunVox Chrome Extension turns your browser into a powerful modular music studio. It features a modular synthesizer, a pattern-based sequencer (tracker), and a rich set of generators and effects. The built-in engine supports WAV/AIFF samples, XM/MOD imports, MIDI I/O, and multitrack WAV export, enabling compact playback, sequencing, and export workflows right in-browser or via app integrations. It’s designed as a fast, cross-platform tool for composers and sound designers who want flexible, hands-on control.

Beyond synthesis, SunVox offers microtonal sequencing, generative music options (random note selection, random controller values, and probability effects), and a developer library for embedding the SunVox engine in other apps. With a comprehensive suite of tools—drum synths, FM, multisample instruments, spectral generators, and a wide range of effects (delay, reverb, EQ, filters, and more)—it suits live performance, sound design, and browser-based composition. Official SunVox resources include the homepage, user manual, and tutorials.

SunVox has always been great. The options you have for creating music are more than enough. Make your own synth from the ground up, chain effects, and there are so many options. You can’t beat the price!

Whenever I import an audio file to the sampler, the audio seems to be silent. Not only is the audio silent in the sampler, also in other synths. Now I can’t make any music. Screw this.
