Users praise an easy-to-use, visually appealing app and the convenience of mobile access to the daily paper, plus updates and features and comics/crosswords. However, recurring complaints dominate: the app is slow to open, can crash while scrolling, login sessions don’t persist, e-edition/print content fails to download, updates loop or redirect to other McClatchy apps, and iPad layout issues waste screen space. Ads and paywalls also hamper the experience.

Great look & easy to use!!

This is the slowest app on my iPhone and my iPad. If I click a link for a story, it sometimes takes as long as 2 minutes to open. Please fix it. Update: I was contacted by the developer who advised me to clear the apps cache. I did and it works great now!
