Features & Capabilities

Coverage? Lite overlays and compares cellular carrier coverage maps, making it easy for travelers to see where service is available across the USA and Canada. It supports multi-carrier overlays, lets you view 5G and LTE coverage, and focuses on roaming areas you care about.

It stores maps on-device for offline access, includes regional maps covering urban and rural areas, and lists carriers such as AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Dish/Boost, US Cellular, plus Canadian carriers Bell, Telus, and Rogers (optional unlock). Quickly compare carrier coverage, plan trips, and consider upgrading to HD maps via subscription for more frequent updates. Note that maps are based on carrier data and may not be perfectly precise; use them as a guidance tool.

User Reviews

Coverage? Lite is a general tool for quick, county-level coverage checks and some 5G data, but its value is limited by outdated maps, data that often mirrors carrier claims, and a crippled free version with persistent upgrade prompts. While it is easy to use and clearly priced, many reviewers feel the app is not worth the money due to stale information and paywalls. It may still help for quick, high-level checks when traveling or comparing carriers, but users should verify results with official maps for accuracy.
Pros
  • Provides a quick general county-level coverage indicator useful for shopping for carriers or planning travel.
  • Includes 5G coverage information, including midband updates.
  • Pricing is clearly labeled, with a one-time fee for the full app and visible subscription options.
  • Simple to use and delivers the core coverage checks as advertised.
Cons
  • Maps are outdated and not updated regularly, leading to inaccurate coverage information.
  • Lite/free version is crippled and requires payment to view LTE/4G, with frequent upsell prompts.
  • Data tends to reflect carrier claims rather than actual on-site coverage, causing reliability concerns.
  • Upgrade nagging and frequent prompts to buy the full version distract from use.
  • In newer revisions, only the 4G layer is accessible and other layers are hidden, reducing functionality.

If I wanted to see what coverage the provider claims to offer in my area I could go to their website and look at their map. There is zero value provided by this app.

Thanks for the information, especially for new 5G midband update. Nice to see how TMUS N41 ahead of VZ and especially T N77.
