Hudl is useful for watching film and studying games, and for reviewing other teams. However it’s plagued by reliability and usability issues on iOS: recurring black screens, crashes, slow loading, and frequent sign-in problems. Feature gaps on mobile (uploads, stats, and reports) further hinder the experience. Overall, Hudl’s core value is clear when it works, but stability and feature completeness must improve to satisfy teams relying on it.

Pros

Useful for watching film, highlights, and studying for games when the app works.
Helpful for reviewing other teams and preparing for games.
Generally a good concept with valuable features for youth sports film and analysis.

Frequent black screens during startup, full-screen playback, or while watching video.
Crashes, force closes, and repeated sign-outs during use or streaming.
Slow performance, long load times, and buffering issues during playback.
Sign-in problems and repeated login prompts or password resets.
Missing mobile features (e.g., on iPad you can't upload or view stats; missing team minutes and reports).

Recent reviews

This app crashes, go to sections of a report that you didn’t click on and once you rotate the phone sideways and then back to vertical it loses the report information you were wanting. Clicking on any of the report stats to put them in order is awkward as hell. The pop up that describes what the stat info is hard to get rid of without accidentally clicking on something else. The app needs a complete overhaul to make it more intuitive to navigate and more functional. It’s unfortunate that Hudl charges schools and organizations a premium subscription price but delivers software that works and looks like it is from a free service.

So basically all my stats and my entire teams stats are wrong and for some reason they decided to do the other team acting like those were us I WASNT ON THE COUST AND GOT AN ATTAKING ERROR THIS LOOKS SO BAD FOR COLLEGE NOW they said we were in serve revive WHEN WE SERVED
