User Reviews

Users praise Slang Dictionary for breadth, ease of use, and helpful learning for texting. It’s especially beginner-friendly and often considered highly satisfying. However, repeated concerns include gaps in term coverage (missing acronyms such as idec and tbt), occasional inaccuracies, a laggy keyboard, and too many illustrations. Overall, it’s a useful reference that shines in accessibility and learning but could improve by expanding terms, keeping content up-to-date, and refining the UI.
Pros
  • Broad collection of slang and acronyms (has many common terms)
  • Very easy to use and user-friendly, beginner-friendly
  • Helpful for texting and quickly understanding abbreviations
  • Educational and helps users learn slang, improving fluency
  • Strong user satisfaction and frequent positive praise (high ratings)
Cons
  • Incomplete coverage of slang terms (missing terms like idec, tbt, porch monkey) and occasional omissions/ inaccuracies
  • Some terms not listed or meanings missing in the app
  • Keyboard lag or performance issues when using the app
  • Visual clutter from illustrations (too many images) which can hinder quick lookup

Probably the most ingenious thing that could've ever been written. I'm still in awe and totally had to get the tech app too!!!!

You have the word “cracker” in there for a white person, but not the term porch monkey? No terms that would be of use to average people for all races, just whites. Alright, cool.
