User Reviews

User reviews show a mixed picture. Many report crashes and instability across iOS versions and newer iPhones, with updates failing to restore connectivity to cameras. Compatibility gaps (iPhone 8/X, iOS 9/10, IPv4 support) and persistent ad placement aggravate frustration. A frequent complaint is the 4-camera view limit even when more are configured. Some users, however, say the app is easy to set up and works well when it runs, and it can be a viable alternative for brands without their own app. Push notifications are inconsistently functioning for some users.
Pros
  • Easy to set up and generally works when stable.
  • Some reviews describe it as "awesome" or "great" when it runs.
  • Provides a usable option for cameras that don’t have their own app.
Cons
  • Crashes and instability across multiple iOS versions (iOS 9/10) and after updates.
  • Compatibility issues with newer iPhone models (iPhone 8, X) and IPv4 support.
  • Ads in the app, including complaints about it being a paid app with ads.
  • 4-camera view limit despite having more cameras configured (viewing all cameras is restricted).
  • Connectivity issues to cameras and inconsistent push notification functionality.

I just got this app set up with my cameras a few days ago. Right now I have only 4 cameras set up so only seeing 4 at a time is ok for now. I work out of town and I’m not home to check whether the cameras are on but I assume they are because they had been on for days before I got an app to work with them (go figure that the brand of camera doesn’t work with that brand’s app - this is the app tech support recommended). I was able to view all my cameras on the first day but after leaving for work, haven’t been able to see them. I’ll check when I get home to see if there’s an issue with the cameras. What is frustrating is there is an option for push notifications but when I try to allow notifications it gives me an error. I can’t just sit and watch the cameras all day, I would like an alert when there is movement so I can check it out. If I can get everything up and running again and get notifications I’ll change my rating but for now it’s only 2 stars.
