However, reliability and usability issues are common: missed or delayed warnings, duplicate/old alerts, map pin and interaction problems, instability, and misleading badge counts. Addressing timely delivery, deduping alerts, stabilizing the map features, and improving badge behavior would greatly improve user trust.

Cons

Alerts can be missing or delayed during major events, with some warnings not delivered when expected.
Repeated or outdated alerts appear, including duplicate tornado warnings and other notifications.
Pin/location accuracy and map interaction issues, such as dropping pins near locations vs. 911 addresses and pins not showing details after updates.
Stability problems like crashes and data being shown as null, plus updates that disrupt existing features.
Badge/count behavior is misleading (shows total alerts since download) and cluttered with old or unwanted notifications.

Recent reviews

The app gives me the banner notifications at the top of the screen, but when I open the app to read more, the most recent entry is from eight hours ago. Thought it could help during this hurricane but it’s basically worthless if I only get details hours later.

Others have reported the addressing issue and I ran into it yesterday. Traffic signal/sign issues are in the right of way and not at a 911 address. I think I’m doing the right thing by dropping the pin closest to the location but it’s more work for 311 dispatch and me. Future state I will drop it closest to the location but closer to a parcel to get a 911 address. I would have assumed they get the GPS coordinate along with this but that is not the case.
