User Reviews

Users like the Smugglers' Notch app for easy navigation, up-to-date updates, and convenient in-app ticket purchases. Recurrent downsides include inaccurate or incomplete snow/trail reporting, data mismatches with the website, reliability issues, and a confusing UX plus login/purchase friction. The app has potential but needs better data consistency and smoother, more reliable navigation and purchasing flow.
Pros
  • Easy to navigate and user-friendly interface.
  • Regular, up-to-date trail, lift, and conditions updates.
  • Convenient in-app ticket purchasing and planning.
  • Helpful trail map view and weekly program information for planning.
Cons
  • Snow and trail reports are frequently inaccurate or incomplete, with conflicting data (Nordic vs Alpine) and missing snowfall details.
  • App reliability is inconsistent; data often doesn't match the website, and camera/weather data can be poor.
  • Navigation/UX can be confusing or fragmented; menus and data presentation aren’t always up to date.
  • Login and ticket purchasing flow is cumbersome, with issues saving login info and re-entering card details.

I learned to ski at Smuggs in my early 40’s. I wanted my kids to learn to ski and it was something I wanted to do with them. Learning to ski at Smuggs was one of the best things I ever did for my kids and myself. Smuggs lets kids be kids (young and old alike). The people are down to earth…no snobs…and what a great way to build memories as a family!

The trail report is strange this year! It combines the nordic and alpine trails, but says there is a total of 78 trails, there is much more combined. Why do you keep indicating you are blowing snow on nordic trails?! There is clearly no snowmaking infastructure at all on your nordic trails. Will Buds Run ever be on the snow report? Houghs views often contradicts the app reports. This app used to be more reliable.
