User Reviews

Users praise OnePlace for a centralized library of trusted sermons and daily, routine-friendly listening that supports spiritual growth. However, multiple reviews highlight recurring issues: sign-in persistence and lost saved content, spammy emails after signup, usability problems after updates, weak search/content availability, and playback glitches such as auto-playing next episodes and unreliable controls. The app’s content value is clear, but stability and UX need refinement to match the quality of the sermons it hosts.
Pros
  • Centralized library of sermons from trusted pastors/ministries in one place.
  • Convenient for daily listening during workouts, chores, and mornings.
  • Content quality perceived as authentic and Scripture-focused (no fluff).
  • Expanded options and variety of speakers after updates.
  • Overall value as a one-stop source for Christian podcasts that supports spiritual growth.
Cons
  • Frequent sign-in persistence issues and loss of saved content after updates (accounts not retained).
  • Unwanted email/spam after signup that persists despite attempts to unsubscribe.
  • Usability regressions after updates (reduced features, harder navigation, removal of playback controls).
  • Search and content availability problems (search not reliable; some ministries/content not accessible in-app).
  • Playback issues including auto-playing the next episode/continuous playback and unreliable playback controls (sleep timer not reliable).

On April 13, 2026, I downloaded the OnePlace app on the Apple Store. To sign up I had to share my email address. Knowing I will probably unsubscribe eventually as many sites send 2-3 emails a day. I looked forward to many inspiring podcasts with pastors I’d listened to and enjoyed. I did receive more emails than I wanted and had to contact the developer to halt them. I received notice that I was 100% unsubscribed and that was that. Sure enough after about 30 days all the emails stopped. I thank OnePlace and Salem communications for their help. I can now listen to OnePlace and enjoy the content online without the worry of email accumulation. Thanks and God Bless.

I do not want to be forced to follow a ministry to listen to a message.

It’s impossible to delete things you no longer want to follow as well as the sleep timer doesn’t actually work.
