MIT Mobile is useful and feature-rich for navigation, shuttle info, and MIT updates, with a polished UI. However, recurring problems include app crashes (especially Stellar), unreliable shuttle data (locations, timing, and missing Saferide info), and limited off-campus usability. Some features also fail or behave inconsistently (self-guided tour, dining hall status). Addressing stability and data completeness would significantly improve user satisfaction.

Pros

Shuttle tracking with GPS helps me get around MIT.
Maps and location-based features are helpful for navigation.
Wide range of MIT info (news, events, campus updates) in one app.
Polished UI and design; visually appealing.
Useful for students, faculty, and staff; broad MIT community coverage.

Cons

Crashes and stability issues, especially with Stellar (app crashes on startup).
Shuttle data reliability issues: inaccurate locations, wrong directions, and incomplete data (Saferide times missing; only Tech Shuttle times shown).
Limited off-campus usefulness; on-campus-only.
Some features don't work as expected (self-guided tour not functioning).
Data accuracy problems for dining halls (shows closed when they aren't).

App is throwing an unhandled exception error 491c6454a7 trying to get to the alumni account login. I tried both android and iPhone versions neither worked.

The new shuttle tracking interface is unusable on mobile. Not only that, it doesn’t seem to reflect the correct shuttle location. It’ll indicate a shuttle is arriving when it’s in fact travelling in the wrong direction from the one queried. How hard is it to test this before deploying???
