Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. The photographer we originally booked canceled just TWO HOURS before my daughter’s wedding. She texted me that she was following an ambulance with her father in it and said she had reached out to another photographer who could cover the wedding. Thankfully, another photographer contacted me and was able to step in at the last minute. I was incredibly grateful! I paid her in full upfront, signed a new contract, and even tipped her an additional $100 because I truly appreciated her coming through for us on such short notice. However, it has now been 19 days since the wedding, and we have not received a single picture, not even a sneak peek. I reached out myself this past Sunday to ask about the photos and was told I would have them Wednesday. Wednesday came and went, and today is Thursday. We still have no photos and have received no communication explaining the delay. I completely understand that emergencies happen, and I certainly had compassion for the circumstances surrounding the original cancellation. I was also extremely appreciative of someone stepping in at the last minute. My biggest disappointment throughout this experience has been the lack of communication. These are my daughter’s wedding pictures. This is a day that cannot be recreated, and after paying in full, I don’t believe a customer should have to continually reach out just to find out when their photos will be delivered, especially after being given a specific delivery date that wasn’t met. Communication is such an important part of customer service and running a business. If something changes or a deadline can’t be met, a simple message to the customer goes a long way. I truly hope we receive my daughter’s wedding photos soon.
