The comprehensive WordWeb database includes 285,000 words and phrases; 225,000 sense definitions; 70,000 usage examples; 85,000 pronunciations; plus synonyms, related words, and cross-references to Chambers and Oxford dictionaries. It supports multiple English variants (North American, British, Australian) and offers bookmarks, history, and an intelligent spell-check that suggests correct spellings as you type. An offline audio version is available separately. All features work without an internet connection.

WHY DOESNT APPLE JUST MAKE THEIR MACOS DICTIONARY APP ON IPHONE???? frustrating. But honestly this app is even better, i absolutely love it. its convenient, and theres no BS ads or stupid element clogging up the screen (Webster). love this app, thank you to whoever made it!!

Such a reliable, easy to use dictionary app. It’s intuitive in every way, gives you great suggestions when you misspell a word you’re searching for. Easily shows you pronunciations, synonyms, antonyms, specific regional words, spellings, and on top of that, it has a great list of historical names as well as places. It is my go-to dictionary app and I’ve used it almost daily for years and it has never failed me, if anything, it keeps impressing me despite its simplicity!
