User Reviews

Users report Quitter helped track quitting progress and savings and provided motivation, but the app now frequently fails to run: widespread white/blank screens, instability, and crashes. Many reviews note that updates erased data or caused the loss of quit milestones, and that the app has not been updated in years, leading to compatibility problems with newer iOS versions. Overall, the positives are overshadowed by critical reliability and maintenance issues.
Pros
  • Tracks time since quitting and money saved.
  • Visualizes recovery progress to help stay motivated.
  • Inspiration tab provides motivational content.
Cons
  • White/blank screen and the app won’t load or is unusable after updates (iOS7 and newer).
  • Data loss or reset of quit progress after updates.
  • Crashes and instability (freezes or crashes when scrolling, or crashes frequently).
  • Lack of updates/maintenance leading to compatibility issues with newer iOS versions.

Needs an update. Scrolling though multiple quit events causes crashing. Needs updating.

This app used to be a staple in visualizing my recovery, but it’s entirely useless now.

People use apps like this to stay on track and remind you of how far you have made it. Well after 9 days smoke free I start getting alerts congratulating me on how many hours I have made it after 9 days. So at 9 days 8 hours it is now congratulating me for being smoke free for 8 hours. Like quitting isn’t hard enough but you stole my 9 days and made this road feel so much longer for no reason whatsoever. After 18 years of smoking which is exactly half of my life I found myself strong enough to quit. And if you are trying also. Do not use apps like this. Waking up seeing those 9 days gone really is heartbreaking. To the developer. YOU CANT PUSH THIS PRODUCT ON PEOPLE DEALING WITH ADDICTION. IF YOU HAVE BUGS IN THE TIMER PHASE YOU ARE KILLING PEOPLES HARD EARNED VICTORY WITH WHAT EVER THEY ARE USING THE APP FOR. YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THE APP IS FOR AND JUST STOLE SOMEONES IDEA. ANYONE DEALING WITH ADDICTION WOULD NEVER LET THIS GO ON THE STORE LIKE THIS
