recently purchased items online and received completely wrong products from the merchant. I immediately submitted photographic proof showing the invoice versus what was actually delivered, expecting PayPal Purchase Protection to resolve the issue under Significantly Not as Described. Instead, PayPal’s dispute team—and their card dispute division—declined my claim. Their automated system appears to verify only whether the tracking number shows a "delivered" status, completely ignoring clear evidence that the items inside the package were incorrect. When I escalated the issue, I was met with generic scripted responses and no path for a genuine human review. If a merchant sends you the wrong items, do not expect PayPal to protect your funds. Their dispute resolution process relies heavily on automated checks rather than reviewing actual evidence, making their purchase protection practically useless when a seller fails to fulfill an order correctly.
