SOSpect empowers communities by allowing them to share and receive real-time alerts about safety concerns in their immediate vicinity, fostering a safer environment for everyone. User privacy is our top priority: individual locations are neither tracked nor shared. SOSpect enables users to notify others about potential hazards, promoting communal vigilance without compromising personal data.

What's New in This Version:

Restricted Alert Types for iPhone: In compliance with App Store guidelines, alert types related to criminal activities requiring local law enforcement agreements — such as 'Crime Committed,' 'Street Fight,' 'Riots or Protests,' and 'Domestic Violence' — are not available on iPhone until formal agreements with relevant authorities are in place. Account and Data Deletion: Users can delete their accounts and all associated data directly from the app (main menu → gear icon), meeting App Store requirements. Optional Push Notifications: Push notifications are now optional and can be managed anytime from app settings. Photos & Videos: Users can now attach photos and videos to their alerts as evidence, helping the community and authorities respond more effectively. Local Promotions for Businesses: Businesses of any size can now publish geolocated promotions on the map, with private in-app chat and audience reach metrics included.

SOSpect offers a free alert service covering a wide range of community needs:

Safety alerts — Report warnings, suspicious activity, or a fleeing suspect in real time. Missing persons & pets — Notify the community within a radius of up to 10 km instantly. Visual accompaniment — Activate communal vigilance when walking alone at night. Community events — Share local events with neighbors across a configurable radius. Citizen alerts — Report neighborhood concerns that the community collectively votes to resolve. Local promotions — Businesses post offers on the map; nearby users receive push notifications and can chat privately with the seller inside the app.

SOSpect includes a virtual currency called Powers, earned through in-app purchases or active community participation. Powers unlock premium features: expand your alert radius up to 30 km, set up surveillance zones for specific locations (your home, your children's school, your business) to receive alerts even when you're not there, and protect loved ones by monitoring a family member's or employee's alert environment in real time.

The app uses your latest location solely to deliver relevant nearby alerts. Your personal location is never displayed or shared. Attached photos and videos focus on the reported situation — never on individuals.
