User Reviews

Pixquare is praised for its intuitive UI and strong pixel-art features, plus a one-time purchase model and cross-device capability. Users value layers, animation, customization, and palette tools. Primary drawbacks are free-tier restrictions, stability glitches, and paywalls for more content. Overall, it’s a highly usable, feature-rich app that users enjoy, with some frustration around the free version and occasional bugs.
Pros
  • Intuitive, responsive UI that's easy to learn
  • Rich pixel-art toolkit with layers, animation, and precise drawing tools
  • One-time purchase model with no subscription
  • Works well across iPhone and iPad for both quick doodles and detailed work
  • Customizable UI and palette management (themes, quick palette loads, LOSPEC palettes)
Cons
  • Free version imposes limits on exports/canvases, nudging users toward upgrading
  • Glitches and stability issues (unreliable undo, occasional bugs)
  • Paywalls to unlock more drawings or canvases

I had a review before about a glitch but it got fixed THANK YOU! This app is really good and it helps me make sprites for a game me and my friend are making. It’s so helpful with the rotate tool that most other apps don’t have. It’s such a great tool and so worth the money if you make pixel art. Buy it and support the creator(s).

You can free color and free draw or u can just color by number with pixels and it works best if you use a Apple Pencil. And I’m going on a flight soon and I’m thinking it would be a great flight activity. And it’s very relaxing and I have no issues. I think you should get the app ❤️ Hope that helps 🫶🏽
