What is ABS? Scores such as NPI have been widely used to assess behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia patients. However, since it takes several tens of minutes to determine the score, it has been difficult to use in daily work. The ABS takes only about one minute to complete and has been shown to correlate well with conventional NPI scores, making it easy to obtain reliable BPSD scores.
