User Reviews

User reviews show a pattern of severe reliability problems with the Wildlife Cam app: frequent Bluetooth/Wi‑Fi connectivity failures, sluggish media downloads, and crashes after updates. Cache issues, incorrect thumbnails, and file integrity problems worsen the experience, while batch downloading is tedious. A minority report occasional usable performance or positive notes about the hardware/app pairing on specific cameras. Overall, the app is described as unreliable and frustrating, with connectivity, stability, and media transfer as the main pain points.
Pros
  • A small subset of users report the app functions well or works mostly fine in certain setups.
  • Some reviewers note the CEYOMUR 4K trail camera combo includes a 'great camera and a good app' in particular contexts.
  • A few mentions describe USB-C photo transfer as a straightforward way to move media outside the app workflow.
Cons
  • Frequent connectivity failures between the app and camera via Bluetooth/Wi‑Fi; often requires being very close or fails to connect.
  • Significant slowdowns in downloading/viewing media, with long delays (seconds to minutes per image) and slow transfers.
  • Crashes and instability after updates; issues with cache and accessing image folders.
  • Thumbnail misrepresentation and file integrity problems (thumbnails don’t match videos; cache/upgrade issues erase or corrupt files).
  • Limited batch download capability; users cannot select many images at once and must perform repetitive, manual downloads.
Recent reviews
First issue is you can’t hook up the camera to a wifi or LTE network, but it’s a complicated login process where you establish a bluetooth connection first to start the wifi router inside the camera (!). Then it connecting to the camera to change setting or download photos takes a minute at least and has a 70% failure rate when I try it with my iPhone even when I’m standing right in front of the camera. Then the camera doesn’t detect animals smaller than my 25 lbs dog. Also downloading fotos takes forever, about half a minute per foto. Very dissapointing user experience.

I needed to download this app for a trail cam I bought off Amazon. The camera and software never worked. Huge disappointment. Not impressed.

I have another outdoor cam that works fine and can even see this camera but I can’t get the app for this camera to work at all.
