User Reviews

ASL Bloom is praised as a fun, engaging way to learn ASL with a clear, structured path and effective slow, repetitive signs that aid retention. It’s easy to use and supports daily practice, which many users appreciate. However, the main drawback across several reviews is that advanced practice and the full course require a subscription, with the free version offering limited content. The app’s teaching approach is its strength, while the pricing model is a common sticking point for continued use.
Pros
  • Engaging, rewarding and helps you make progress in ASL.
  • Slow-paced, repetitive demonstrations aid retention and learning.
  • Easy to navigate and beginner-friendly.
  • Duolingo-like course structure provides a clear learning path.
  • Free content is available (no mandatory subscription) for daily practice.
Cons
  • Most practice features are locked behind a paid subscription.
  • Free version is limited in content and does not offer unlimited lessons.
  • Pricing can be a barrier for learners who want ongoing, unrestricted access.

It’s confusing sometimes the way sentences are structured. Sometimes an adjective is place before the noun and vice versa. I don’t know which one is the right way to order some sentences

After waiting for so long for this “big” new update there’s absolutely nothing new under the sun. This is just simply slapping lipstick on the same old pig. They literally just put a new face on the same old content. There are no new signs no new modules or anything. And, by the way, keep in mind you are not learning the structure of ASL. What you are learning is what is called SEE or Signed Exact English as this is basically just a vocabulary app. If you knew 500 words in another spoken language, but didn’t understand the grammar and sentence structure, you still couldn’t speak it. And, that’s all this is. You may learn a lot of words, yes - but it by no means is going to help you learn to actually communicate in ASL. I made a mistake of purchasing a subscription for $100 and have no bigger regret for any app I have ever purchased on this platform. If you want to play around with this and learn some words great, but by all means, do not pay money!!!
