Im a fairly tech savvy millennial and even for me, it was a HUGE pain to get connected and to reset if anything goes wrong with Wi-Fi or connection. Should be able to just reset the dang thing but when you re-add it, they send you an email telling you that it’s already verified and you have to go through a super annoying process of removing the Wi-Fi connection generated by the fans Wi-Fi signal, re-entering everything, praying you get the email with the next step afterward, which is just basically a link that reloads the app from the browser. The app does not detect the fans Wi-Fi signal broadcast for some reason and there is no other way to get it to work again other than completely reversing everything and restarting from scratch. This would be OK if any part of that process worked smoothly or consistently, but it does not. The “GAF” access point is a nightmare to even get to show up consistently and everything revolves around it. I ended up just cutting the cord to the WiFi component, smashing it to pieces in rage, then rewiring it to a normal on/off switch that I ran downstairs. It ended up taking me less time to thread wire down two floors and to the switch then I had spent trying to get the app to work.

I didn’t have much of an issue connecting the first time. After I lost internet and tried to re-connect, GAF wouldn’t show up on my network list. I read where it supposed to work on a 2.4 ghz router. Mine are both 2.4 and 5 ghz. If I turned off the 5 ghz channel, I was able to see GAF on the list just long enough to connect. I FINALLY, after 2 days trying, got them both back up. ALSO, as mentioned in a previous review, you need to add a “status” button to show if the fans are running, or not. That would be most helpful!
