User Reviews
Overall, users praise Fitbit Ace for its kid-friendly design, reliable calling/texting (including LTE) and strong safety features like location tracking and family coordination. The gamified fitness and easy setup for family accounts are also a plus. But many reviews flag major downsides: recurring connectivity and pairing problems, delayed or missing messages, and unreliable notifications; high ongoing subscription costs; limited features (no camera, no media sharing) and regional restrictions; data migration issues and uneven customer support; and occasional hardware/UI problems. Reliability and value limit its appeal.
Pros
- Reliable calling and texting on kids' devices, including LTE, with family oversight.
- Location tracking and safety features provide peace of mind for parents.
- Easy setup for family sharing (Google Family integration) and adding relatives.
- Gamified fitness tracking and kid-friendly games keep children motivated.
- Attractive design and user-friendly UX on the watch and app.
Cons
- Recurring connectivity and pairing issues, plus unreliable notifications and delayed/missed messages.
- High ongoing subscription costs (monthly fees or yearly price) with perceived poor value.
- Limited functionality (no camera, no media sharing, limited cross-family texting) and regional/utilization restrictions (Canada, international use).
- Data migration problems and poor support when switching devices or accounts.
- UI/UX/design inconsistencies and occasional hardware issues (overheating, screen damage).

All is well but missing a big feature that will notify parents when child leaves a certain geo fenced area. That would be an amazing feature
