Recent reviews

To make a long story short, this app has been “in the works” for a few years now. I use this app to scrobble audio from my record player. For years now, the struggles have been almost too much - wrong songs registering, the app freezing, illegitimate/scam songs registering - it was a lot. The recent updates have fixed virtually all of these issues; namely the “block” features, as well as the much improved auto-scrobbling. DON’T TOUCH IT IT’S PERFECT RIGHT NOW THE WAY IT IS.

Auto scrobble or continuous scrobble barely works. It frequently grabs the wrong track, also does not continuously scrobble like the name suggests. You constantly have to toggle it on and off to remind it to keep listening. It also doesn’t work with your phone asleep. If you wanted to set it and forget it as a way of scribbling any CDs or vinyl, forget it. This app will not serve you.

I use this app with YouTube music so I’m not sure about other services. I think the design is good and the manual scrobbling works great. I like the lockscreen widget they added so I can quickly view and access the app. My main issue is the autoscrobble. It has an error or just stops working over half the time. I still pay the yearly subscription because I think it’s worth it even with just the manual scrobbling. If the developers can figure out how to fix the auto (which I’m sure is challenging, I don’t know anything about that stuff) I would give the app 5 stars. Thank you for the app, last.fm is the best and I’m grateful to have an easy way to track songs I listen to on my phone.
