The One is a daily character-guessing puzzle inspired by Wordle, built for Chinese and Japanese characters. A new character is chosen every day — guess it in six tries.

Enter a valid character and press the enter button to submit. After each submission, the stroke colors of the character may change:

Green indicates that the correct character contains this stroke and the stroke order is correct. Every occurrence of the stroke will be highlighted in both the correct character and your submission.

Gray indicates that the correct character contains this stroke, but in the wrong order. If the stroke appears more than once, it's highlighted only once in the correct character, but every occurrence is highlighted in your submission.

Switch between Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, a mix of both, or Japanese Kanji at any time, and turn on uncommon characters for a tougher challenge. Track your streak and best run, and share your result as a card once you solve the day's character.
