User Reviews

Dragon Up! has a charming idea and moments of fun, with cute visuals and diverse content. However, it suffers from persistent bugs that stall coin earning and event progress, recurring event failures, and long content gaps. Players feel the game may be abandoned due to lack of updates and limited support. The in-game economy also feels unbalanced, with pricey gems and restricted earning. Overall, the concept is strong and appealing, but unresolved bugs and maintenance issues significantly hinder the experience.
Pros
  • Fun, engaging gameplay when not bugged, with a variety of content that players enjoy
  • Cute visuals and generally smooth performance that add to the appeal
  • No pay-to-win pressure; progression can be enjoyed without mandatory purchases
  • Strong potential and appeal of the idle-game concept that some players see as a future top title
  • Long-running appeal with players expressing ongoing love for the game despite issues
Cons
  • Persistent bugs that halt coin generation and nest collection, and actions not registering, especially during events
  • Events frequently fail, disappear, or become unusable (broken or missing rewards, chest issues)
  • Lack of updates and long content drought; game appears abandoned or minimally maintained
  • Poor or hard-to-use developer support channels for feedback or help
  • In-game economy issues: high gem costs, limited ways to earn gems, and overpriced shop deals within the Netflix model

I’m a fan of idle games. Dragon Up is a basic game in the genre. You follow a shallow plot to save dragons, using potions as a currency to level up and makes things faster. However, the core gameplay devolves into waiting to collect potions every 5 minutes and competing in frequent short competitions to see who is the most dedicated into opening the game every 5 minutes. This frequency is not idle at all and the lack of variety becomes stagnant fast. Worse, there are game breaking bugs where all progress in the game becomes frozen and never restarts. Looking into forums going back years, this is an old bug that was never fixed. I can’t recommend this game.
