Swiftfin shows UI polish and speed improvements over Jellyfin's app, with better subtitle handling in some cases and multi-user PIN protection. However it suffers from recurring login prompts, audio/subtitle playback bugs, server connectivity errors, missing offline/downloads and playlists, and cross-device instability.

Cleaner UI and faster, smoother performance than Jellyfin's own app
Improved subtitle rendering (where it works)
Smooth playback scrubbing and navigation
Multi-user support with quick switch and PIN protection

Cons

Frequent logouts / re-login prompts and having to re-enter server info
Audio/subtitle/ playback bugs (audio track switching, missing subtitles, playback gaps)
Server connectivity issues and 404/index errors (unable to connect to server)
Missing offline download and playlist features
Stability issues across devices (including Apple TV) and ongoing bugs

Performs much better, less lag, clean interface, and…settings! Thank you. Now if only it had a “clear cache” in the settings, and the long-awaited Music Videos category had play all/shuffle play. I had to switch to direct play - all my videos are transcoded, and worked fine on previous version. This version requests transcode for them - to the same settings?

Sometimes it says “unable to connect” even though it’s on the same network, and for my Fire TV it won’t let me do quick connect, it just skips that and takes me to the password. I entered in the password and it doesn’t work
