Jellyfin Mobile on iOS shows a clean UI and solid core streaming but is hampered by stability and connectivity issues: frequent freezes, no background playback, difficult server connections, subtitle problems, and flaky downloads. On the plus side, setup is relatively seamless and streaming from the Jellyfin library works when the app is functioning. Overall, it needs robust background playback, reliability improvements, and clearer onboarding.

Recent reviews

They have not vetted the children’s content for biblo app. They promised Christian values for children and there are gay marriages, references to drugs, and inappropriate sexual content in children’s cartoons. Also this Jellyfin app they use to support biblo is cumbersome to use on iPads and tv. Series don’t auto play and then they don’t stay in order so you loose your place when you exit the screen and try to find the next episode in the series. I can’t find how to cancel my subscription as well. Do I cancel through Jellyfin or biblo. No customer support that I can find. I would appreciate some assistance. Thank you

1. There is no progress bar on active downloads. I have no idea how long it’s going to take to finish each download or how much progress any download has made. 2. The downloads go in parallel, not in series in the order they were queued. If I ask for three episodes, and I only manage to download one of them before I lose connection and can’t download anymore, I’d much rather it be the first of the three, not the second or third. Downloads should go in order. 3. Why can’t I cancel downloads? The “Edit” button only lets you delete downloads which have finished, so to “cancel” a download it has to finish first, which is terrible and wastes bandwidth you want to give other downloads if you’re trying to cancel. I just think this is all that mobile downloading needs to be wayyyyyy better.
