Frosty for Twitch

See 7TV, BTTV, and FFZ emotes!

Features & Capabilities

Frosty for Twitch brings popular third-party emotes to your chats. It supports emotes and badges from 7TV, BTTV, and FFZ, letting you see more expressions without leaving Twitch. The extension also improves the mobile and desktop Twitch chat experience with features like autocomplete for emotes and user mentions, multiple themes (Light, Dark, OLED), and quick search for channels. You can browse followed streams, top streams, and top categories, making it easy to discover content while you chat.

Beyond emotes, Frosty offers a robust emote menu, theater and fullscreen modes, picture-in-picture, and the ability to block or report users. It stores local chat history, lets you filter chatters in a channel, and includes a sleep timer. Frosty emphasizes safety and convenience while keeping the Twitch experience fluid and social. User Reviews

Frosty for Twitch is widely praised for its emote-enabled chat and cleaner UI, offering a richer, more customizable experience with fewer ads than the official app. However, users report latency, unreliable messaging, stability issues, missing PiP/VOD access, and inconsistent ad-block behavior. Overall it’s a strong alternative to the official Twitch app with caveats around performance and feature gaps.
Pros
  • Mobile support for BTTV/7TV emotes and a noticeably improved chat experience.
  • Cleaner, more usable UI/UX than the official Twitch app.
  • Ad blocking and reduced ads relative to the official app (though not perfect).
  • Robust feature set and customization options for creators and discovery.
  • Chat delay sync works well, helping chat stay aligned with the stream.
Cons
  • Latency is significantly higher than live streams, with reviews noting 15–17 second delays.
  • Messaging input can fail or be slow (send button unresponsive and keyboard behavior issues).
  • Stability problems including video crashes on iPad and occasional app errors.
  • Missing Picture-in-Picture and limited overlay/pop-out options (and no easy VOD access).
  • Ads behavior is inconsistent: some ads still appear and ad-skipping/blocking features aren’t reliable.

The app does everything it says it does perfectly, but not only that. In my opinion, it's options of viewing streams through full screen and varying options of chat and screen cross displaying is so refined compared to the official app that this becomes the go-to over the other regardless of third party emotes being missing. I highly recommend this to any Twitch user that wants a mobile viewing that can match a computer device viewing in a handheld experience.

I would love this app if the delay wasn’t so bad it’s like 40 seconds delay even after reloading it multiple time it may catch up for a little but then it just goes back :(

That’s the whole review. There’s no way to go to a page and follow them. Worthless
